DEAR FEAR

Dear Fear,
you won’t have me.

I am expanding.
Where? How? I don’t know.

Meaning will only come later.
I need to be patient.

Soft, shiny pavements
are reflecting who I am.
If I jump,
the floor trembles.

I wish I knew everything.
The paradox of knowledge:
I would not learn nor grow.

I am running slowly,
I can lose my balance.
I know I am vulnerable.

Dear Fear,
I am expanding.
You won’t have me.
